Mickey  has experience touring nationally & internationally! 

 

Mickey is featured in International and National Blues Magazines such as Rhythm and Blues, UK, IL Blues, Italy, and Big City Blues, US. Mickey Rogers is featured in Living Blues Issue #235 February 2015 with a 5 page story on Mickey written by Margo Cooper.

During Mickey’s career he has played with artists like The Jackson 5, Jimi Hendrix, Otis Clay, Hubert Sumlin, Harold Burrage, The Dramatics, Gladys Knight & The Pips, the Temptations and the Chi-Lites. He spent many years on the road with Tyrone Davis and Bobby Rush. He played with Howlin’ Wolf when he was fifteen at Sylvio’s Lounge in Chicago.

HONORS

​Mickey is honored with a stone Mississippi Walk of Fame in Greenville, Mississippi he and is featured in the Hwy 61 Museum in Leland, MS Honored by the Mississippi Delta Blues and Heritage Festival " the oldest Blues Festival in Mississippi" Mickey Rogers received the Eugene Powell *Sonny Boy Nelson 11th Annual Award which reads " In recognition of Playing Music in the Mississippi Delta Blues Tradition" - Presented to Roosevelt Mickey Rogers, Jr. by Friends of the Festival.  Mickey was named Blues Musician of the Year in 2013 by the Mississippi Blues Society of Indianola, Indianola, Mississippi. Mickey is one of the Mississippi Living Legends artists in the H.C. Porter exhibit. He has performed in over 28 countries. Mickey received the Jus' Blues Music Foundation Bobby Rush Lifetime Blues Entertainers Award 2019.

He has performed at the B.B. King Blues Festival in Indianola, MS many times.

 

Mickey performed at the Morgan Freeman “Blessissippi” concert at Ground Zero in Clarksdale, MS.

 Mickey performed on the Mississippi stage at The Chicago Blues Festival 2018.

Mickey Rogers has traveled to over 28 countries during his career. 

He has performed at numerous Mississippi Festivals, and is a favorite at private parties and corporate events.
