CAROL MARBLE began her work in the music industry in the Mississippi Delta and has been working in the field for more than 20 years. She has been encouraged in this work by her husband Ron Marble who joined her full time in the music business after his retirement from private industry.
Carol has accompanied the bands and musicians she represented to Juke Joints, Night Clubs, Festivals, and Entertainment venues throughout the Mississippi Delta, Mississippi, across the United States, Canada, and Europe. She became experienced in representing the musicians in working out “the best deal possible for them.” She accompanies them to recording studios and watches over the creation of their works from the beginning until they have their music in the global marketplace.
She has worked to secure grants for many musicians and financial aid for some as needed. She is an advocate for the musician. Carol Marble is a Note Writer for Albums, a Writer for Big City Rhythm and Blues Magazine, and is a Freelance Researcher on Blues Related Topics. She has been honored to write several songs with The Amazing Jimmi Mayes. Carol is a Voting Member in the Recording Academy and together with her husband a member of the Blues Foundation and the Central Mississippi Blues Society and The MS Delta Blues Society of Indianola, MS.
Carol and Ron Marble were founders of the Mississippi Delta Blues Society of Indianola Mississippi and of The Central Mississippi Blues Society in Jackson, MS. Both blues societies have made their mark in blues history for having multiple winners of the International Blues Challenge. Carol and Ron were recently honored to have their name put on a Mississippi Blues Marker in Jackson, MS for being founders of the Central Mississippi Blues Society. The marker was placed in front of Hal & Mal’s restaurant which is landmark restaurant and music venue that has hosted legendary musicians performing there throughout the years. The Central Mississippi Blues Society Blue Monday band has performed at the location for 16 years and consistently attracts tourists from around the world. Other founders noted are Peggy Brown and Jesse Robinson. Also in 2023 Carol Marble received a 2023 SHERO AWARD in Jackson, Ms for her role in the community.
Carol and Ron have released several albums through their Mississippi Delta Record Label for their artist roster members. Having a "musical ear" from listening to hundreds of albums, Ron is the "go to" person for the musicians for previewing a cd before it is mixed and mastered. Carol works with the details of getting the music from and idea to the finished product. Ron Marble works in promotion and marketing of music releases.
ABOUT ARTISTS ROSTER MEMBERS
Most Mississippi Delta Inc. roster members are noted on Mississippi Blues Markers. Some have been been Inducted into The Chicago Blues Hall of Fame, Honored by The Jus Blues Foundation or Inducted into the American Quartet Hall Of Fame. Many have career histories of being with Mo-Town, Chess Records, and some have performed with groups such as the Blind Boys of Alabama, Jimmi Hendrix and more! All have created their own original music.
Notable Legendary Roster members have included Cash McCall, Roscoe Robinson, and The Amazing Jimmi Mayes; also Bill Howl-N-Madd Perry who is featured in Documentaries, Movies and Magazine. Honors from the Jus Blues Foundation includes Mickey Rogers. The first recording from the BB King Recording Studio was from David Lee Durham. Roster member Johnny Drummer was recognized by the City of Chicago for his contribution to Chicago music.
